I was in no hurry to judge and waited, after a month of use with 3-4 hours of welding 6 days a week I have to say I'm disappointed. First mention: This hood feels heavy on my head and my neck hurts a lot on long days. Then, after the first few days, the kingpins couldn't hold the welding cap. You lift it 90 degrees up from your face and it falls back even after you've tightened the hinge. Another problem with reversing is that it keeps bouncing off the stop. You can see in the attached picture where I had to drill 2 small holes so I could thread the zipper around it to hold it in place. I noticed the glare too. Maybe it's personal preference, but with a larger lens I noticed more flare both inside and outside the lens hood. Sure, the field of view is good, but more lenses meant more glare and more prone to scratches and damage as I was crawling around in the truck's cab working on the roll cage. Overall I'm not a huge fan and have to put the helmet aside as a fallback because I figured out the overall function. I wanted to try another brand, but unfortunately it didn't work out as planned. I think I'll go back to something with a smaller rectangular lens and a lot lighter for long days of sweating. On the other hand, the hat itself is very nice and comfortable, it comes with 2 spare clear lenses and an extra battery. Good luck in your search and I hope this review helps you in making a decision.
