
This is a MANUAL lens - make sure you know this does not mean auto focus or manipulation of the lens controls from the camera body. You have to do all this manually. That aside, this lens is pretty sharp, and if you have a top-focus camera, focusing shouldn't be a problem for you. I like it for portraits and other situations where a wide aperture is useful. I think I paid $75 for this, but for everything else I'd probably start looking on ebay for a Sony f.18/50mm or something. Although the lens is not bad at all.
