Seriously, I've had this in a 300 gallon saltwater reef aquarium for 5 years and today the sensor (or something related to it) finally failed. And you know what saved my ass? Timeout function for 3 minutes! Yes, it did exactly what it was designed to do and stopped the tide by timing out. I clean his float about every two months and keep anything that swims nearby away from the float as it is an important piece of equipment for my aquarium. I also use it in a sump system with a regular Maxi-Jet 1200 instead of a suction pump. And I think if I just buy a spare float for it I might get more life, but hey, 5 years? I'm just buying a new one. Thanks JBJ
