Seriously, I've had this in a 300 gallon saltwater reef aquarium for 5 years and today the sensor (or something related to it) finally failed. And you know what saved my ass? Timeout function for 3 minutes! Yes, it did exactly what it was designed to do and stopped the tide by timing out. I clean his float about every two months and keep anything that swims nearby away from the float as it is an important piece of equipment for my aquarium. The main problem I have with this ATO is that it cuts power to the pump after the pump has been on for three minutes and goes into some sort of "fault state" that just can be reset. B. by floating the sensors (which signal the automatic control that the water is full) or restarting the automatic air traffic control.
