Review on Enhanced Aquarium Test Kit – Tetra EasyStrips for Complete Aquarium Testing by Rachel Massine

I was a bit confused at first when I received this product. When I looked at the photos on Revain, I expected to receive a box of 25 individually wrapped 7-in-1 test strips, but what I received was a blister pack containing two plastic bottles. To be honest I thought I had received the wrong product at first, but after reading them I realized I hadn't paid attention to the details. The complete kit contains 25 ammonia test strips + 25 6-in-1 test strips for everything else. They're much less expensive than the smaller packs you can get at your local pet stores, and the bottles seal tightly to prevent the strips from getting dirty or spoiled between uses. The packaging states that the moisture silica gel sachets should not be removed from the bottles, which is very important. Any small amount of moisture can actually cause inaccurate test strip results. I have used these strips as well as more advanced methods and feel the results are the same. I also have stand alone meters to check things like pH and the strips are definitely accurate. If I had to overhaul or cycle my tank I'd feel more confident using more advanced testing methods, but for quick weekly/monthly checkups and maintenance they work well. It's pretty easy to use. Instructions are right on the bottle (below the label for 6-in-1 strips) and are easy to follow. Although I've done this so many times, I still follow step by step to ensure the right test. They are great and I would recommend them to anyone looking to save some money on aquarium test strips.
