I had wanted a chalkboard wall In my room, and actual boards to fit the space I wanted to fill are hundreds to thousands of dollars, and heavy. I had just painted and wanted something removable, and this worked wonderfully well and fit where I wanted it to almost perfectly. It cuts to size well, BUT the edges ARE NOT CUT STRAIGHT. Be aware of this before putting it up - there is a grid on the back and the edges do not line up, but the grid is good for cutting your own shapes.In terms of markers, they do shadow slightly from the pressure of the markers, and you have to wipe it REALLY well to get all of the color off. for the amount this costs compared to large boards, its completely worth it. Windex helps in getting it off sometimes, and dont be afraid to use a few handfuls of paper towels, one wet one dry.For application, the box says its a two man job, and it might even be a three man job. I had help and we still accidentally got it stuck to itself. But, if you're careful and take your time, it will unstick without any creases. Don't be afraid to peel it off a bit and restick to get it straight- it readheres pretty well.5 star product if only the edges were straight!
