I'm an old school mechanic and I still fit all my tires the way my dad and I did at his gas station in the 1960's. Shop, only hammers and crowbars lol! To place the beads on new tires you need rapid airflow into the tire, which is not possible with standard cartridges that require a valve core. With these cartridges you can remove the valve core and inflate the tire without restrictions. I install a Lowe's/Home Depot/etc. 1/4" NPT ball valve between this cartridge and the quick disconnect, clamp the cartridge onto the valve stem, and then open the valve wide, which sets the shoulder almost instantly.
