Updating my review and rating after additional use to downgrade one star. The 1/16 chopper in my stack is 1/16 shorter than the other choppers, so cuts made with this chopper will be uneven and require cleaning. Freud did not respond to any of my service requests. My first impression is that this dado stack is great. Worth every penny. This leaves a ready-to-stick surface for many of the knife/shredder/splitter configurations you'll be using without much cleaning. However the 1/16 chopper is shorter than the rest so many of the cuts I will be making with this groove set will be useless making this a great value product - the quality is comparable with other groove sets I have used but the cost is terrible considering its cost. Areas that could be improved to add value: 1- The plastic holding the blades and grinder in place breaks easily and feels like something you would get with a child's toy, not a tool for several hundred dollars. 2 - Shredders are inexplicably not marked in any way. So to find out if you have a 3/32 or 1/16 chopper, you need to feel it with your hand or with vernier calipers. Again, not what you would expect from a multi-hundred dollar tool.3 - The grinders vary in height, leaving an uneven surface that needs cleaning in many configurations. Overall the product is good but probably not worth the money compared to competing products. .
