Review on Safavieh Sheep Skin Collection SHS211A 2' x 4' Natural / White Handmade Rustic Glam Genuine Pelt 3.4-inch Extra Thick Accent Rug by Craig Goodman

I went downstairs to collect the package from our building manager. I've smelled it. The rug has been rolled up in clear plastic with one end open. As far as I could touch, the carpet was soft and of good color. But I was embarrassed to receive it and then take it to the elevator. The smell was terrible, like sewage or feces. BACKGROUND: I ordered 2 different sheepskins from 2 different brands. This is the first time I buy sheepskin. The other has a very faint animal/skin odor that is only noticeable when standing directly in front of it. However, this Safavia rug was intended for a different place in the house. Even without the first comparison carpet, the smell of this one is unbearable. I have bought many wool and polypropylene carpets from Safavia. So I didn't expect a negative impression.
