Best Performance Upgrade for the K5 TGDI

The most significant upgrade any Kia Optima TGDI owner should spend money on. You will feel strong engine response and turbo lag will be a thing of the past. The engine sounds low until the turbine goes full throttle, a second after starting from a full stop. While driving, the car will be more willing to pick up speed more smoothly and quickly. Now the fun part, the turbo will be audible. Loud compared to the airbox. The K&N does an excellent job of turbocharging, and when you let off the gas you can hear the turbo blowdown valve dormant during operation as the turbo blows through the filter. Installation is very easy once you get the L-shaped turbine inlet screw. And once you get it, you have to pull and pull on that silicone tube until it comes out. Notably, the places for my muscular arm are tight at best, I have to use a micro ratchet to loosen the screw, no screwdriver will fit. After all OEM materials are removed, installation goes downhill. No fuel economy improvement to be seen, but I guess it's on me because I want to hear the sweetness spoil the turbo. hp My seat test bench measured an improvement. My guess extends to the entire group. I really recommend this product, both for the price and with prime shipping it's a hot sale.
