Over-priced and under quality. This would be a great chess set for 15 or 20 dollars, but at 47.99 it does not meet expectations. The board is made of a low quality wood, was not well sanded on the outside, and was not coated at all. It’s raw cheap wood. The pieces have a good weight to them, but the white pieces especially were rough and some were stained with black splotches by the foam inside the board.Overall the set is not bad, I like the way the pieces are stored, the weight if the pieces, and the magnets are a nice touch, but it’s not worth anywhere near what they are charging. If they drop the price to around 20 bucks that will be in line with the quality.
