These guys are really small

Honestly, it's not that easy to tell how much suction power these little devices have. One of them can't handle a 10 gallon tank alone, but a 5 gallon tank containing something like "fry" or a few "triplets" of guppies or a small school of cardinals will reach their limits. Anything below those levels and they do it pretty well. I have one of these in combination with a bubble filter in a 10 gallon tank with an 8" frontosa. She was there for about a month for treatment and the filters kept the shape of the tanker and the shape of the stubble. I use them most often in 1 gallon. and 2.5 gallon aquariums with my bettas.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
