Review on 🔋 CTEK - 40-206 MXS 5.0 12V Battery Charger & Maintainer: Fully Automatic 4.3 Amp Powerhouse by Albert Gaines

My cars sit idle most of the time. I started using this CTEK MXS 5.0 half a year ago to prolong the life of my old battery and keep the new one, well, like new. Now I've added a cigarette lighter voltage reader to check how well the battery is charging and if it's maintaining that charge. This charger added about a tenth of a volt to my last "new" battery. I don't know if it was desulfation or overhaul, but I like it. Your CTEK battery tester with "idiot light" should be fine for a regular battery. But my very old, almost dead battery is barely 12 volts left, so it kept showing it needed charging! But the cigarette lighter voltage reader tells me a lot - for example, even at 11.5 volts the battery will still crank this 2.0 liter motor once or twice. With MXS 5.0 I can postpone the new purchase until winter! I love this charger! :-) Edit: Just wanted to add that Revain states at the top of the page that this charger is not compatible with any of my devices. Ridiculous! Someone has to get them to fix this! :-)
