I gave it four stars because I looked through the many options available on Amazon and made this purchase purely by accident. I have a random case and it's cheap t-shirt material. It's not a deal breaker, I'm not considering returning it because of this, but I'm disappointed I didn't get the super cute case I wanted! The hooks are made of beautiful, lightweight aluminum. They are fully detachable from the rubber grip, which I really like! The Yarn Knife is currently sharp, but will not open wide enough to accommodate heavy yarn. And it's hard to push. I have no idea what that gold ring is for, but it's completely bent. Stitch counter SUCK! The counter stops and falls between the two numbers. Another reason for the four star rating. Line markers are good! And I love pastel colors. The tape measure is torn and I just pulled it out of the plastic case. I would like to add that combined with all the crappy quality stuff that comes with this set, my four star rating is only supported by the fact that it would cost $30-$40 if you bought these hooks individually would. Not the $13 I paid. The hooks are good. I will update after using them on different types and weights of yarn. Update: They work great for cotton yarn. However, the letters are being deleted and I literally got them in the mail today. Very disappointing because the letters indicate how big the hook is.
