I was looking for something that could hold a large turtle but all the products were either too low in the tank or couldn't support it (9-10 inches) . I have a 120+ gallon tank that I stock for her to swim but I need somewhere for her to sit and sunbathe. Luckily the supports are long and allow for different heights as it almost crawled out of the tank on the first height I tried. It was easy to mount it outside the tank, although in my case I had to try to mount it inside the tank as it is the same width as the rim of my tank where I wanted it. With the shelf design I have it in the tank with only 3 legs and handles her weight well.
