I've been using this to fill DEF on the latest GMC truck for about two years. Because General Motors decided to put the filler hole in the most inconvenient and difficult spot for DEF servicing, and after spilling that corrosive liquid every time I tried to fill, I finally found a near perfect solution with this filler tube . The 2.5 gallon DEF that you can get at many places has a very thin spout and was very difficult to start and pour into the refill port. This filler neck is durable and has good reliable shut-off function. I tighten the spout on the DEF canister firmly by hand and lay it on its side, inserting the hose into the refill port. Then just twist the cap to start the flow. I also take my pocket knife and poke a hole in the top of the DEF canister so it comes out and drains smoothly. After it's empty, I turn off the valve and remove the whole thing. That works great. Then I rinse out the refill nozzle, put a clean zip-lock bag inside and tuck it under the back seat to have it ready for use when needed. GM finally got the hang of it and moved the port of filling to a smarter, more sane place.
