I drilled a 11/16" diameter hole (my first ever hole drilled with a new bit set) in a vertical pallet rack that like a 1/ 16 inch. 8" mild steel. He broke the chisel (from 3/16 to 7/8) at 5/8 and 11/16 as shown in the first picture. I had to use a second chisel (1/4 to 3/4). bit) to finish the hole and it will damage this bit even if I drill ONE hole I understand that for $21 I shouldn't expect too much but spending 2 bits per hole forces me to get a macro lens to take pics to share my experience so others understand what they are getting into.I'm sure it will work for thinner steel and aluminum or other soft materials like wood.I ended up pitching very well Drilled 11/16 My main complaint, which is why I gave it 1 star, is that if it can't even cut a larger hole for something like 1/8" mild steel, it shouldn't be doing it to be successful. h dia.. Also, I believe people looking for M35 cobalt drill bits will drill something hard, or s You will choose HSS or titanium nitride coated drills.
