Great product, a pleasure to use.

I use the device for hiking / skiing / cycling tourism. There are a number of complaints about the device, but in general I think that the model is excellent for its purposes. Minuses: 1.1 Uploading raster maps. If you need normal cards and for free - the device will have to be changed, i. E. hack. If you're not ready for it, that's a big disadvantage. If you are ready - then do not care, because once and not difficult. 1.2 Preparation of raster maps. Some training is required when working with mapping software. For me, the easiest way is to work through SASplanet, if necessary, export additional layers from GlobalMapper. Perhaps more convenient services have appeared, I donโ€™t know. For an unprepared person - a disadvantage. But the prepared one chooses exactly the card that is needed. 1.3 When downloading maps from one source (SASplanet), they are all enabled/disabled at the same time, ie. I can't make multiple maps for the same area, eg. topography/image. I guess I misunderstood something, but so far so :-( 2. The joystick is not blocked, which results in the generation of spurious waypoints. It is treated by switching to the satellite / odometer screen before sending it to your pocket. 3. The raster map takes a really long time to scroll. This device is generally poorly suited for viewing, the screen is too small - and this applies to the entire cl of such devices. A tablet or a paper map is good for review, which I use. 4. I saw in the reviews a remark that it does not show the normal direction when moving through the forest, windfall. Well, I donโ€™t know if other devices will work better here. The problem is solved in an elementary way - the azimuth was detected by the device, the comp was taken out, the device was removed. Pros: 1. Indestructibility. Invaluable on a hike, because. with a periodic , there is no way to pay special attention to gadgets. 2. Long battery life. One set of Eneloop is enough for 3-4 days of continuous track recording, from morning to late evening. Incl. in winter, if the appliance is bosom. It is extremely important for reports, when going out not for a couple of days, but for a couple of weeks.

Pros
  • Resistance to mechanical and weather influences. Long battery life.
Cons
  • Dancing with a tambourine for downloading raster maps. No joystick lock. Long scroll map.
