In summer I'm a fan of white wine. It gets pretty hot here in south-central Texas in the summer. High 90/Low 100. Wine doesn't stay cool for long and white wine sucks when warmed up. Use a stainless steel stemless wine glass, which I keep in the freezer. Before these little pearls, I had to resort to ice cubes, which quickly melted and diluted the wine. That's exactly what the doctor ordered! Not icy like a soda drink, but cool enough to keep my wine cool and undiluted. I will order another set to back up! I don't think they will make a room temperature drink cold. But keeps an already cold drink cold well.
