Review on πŸš™ Mrhardware A01 Kayak Roof Rack: Ultimate SUV Car Top Mount Carrier J Cross Bar for Canoe and Boat - 1 Pair by Michael Lucas

YOU MUST GET IT. It is twice as safe as others.

Of the dozens of unnamed inexpensive kayak mounts, this one is worth picking because it attaches to the roof rack with TWO mounts and distributes the load evenly. All the others I see on the Amazon mount with ONE center mount that is about two inches wide are held in place by a screw at each end and do not inspire confidence. I really appreciate this detail and sellers should list this feature at the top and middle of the listing. This cradle also uses the exact same struts (identical as far as I can tell) but is held by two instead of the usual. The padding is thick and very dense, I can say it should last a long time. Very good self-adhesive Eva foam pads are included with the mounts to cushion them to cushion and grip the points where they meet the crossbars. The included buckle straps are pretty good too. 2 ratchet ropes front and rear are also included. They connected easily. It sticks. It takes a few more minutes to set up and take down compared to a single-bracket design, and it's not nearly as convenient as foldable models to get in and out of the garage. But I can tow a 14-foot, 60-pound boat with confidence on the highway and off-road. I don't see this happening with these other budget totes, and it definitely doesn't happen with the budget folding model.
