2005 D2005 Dodge 2500 Cummins Quad Cab 146,000 miles. Fairly easy replacement, the only specialty tool I needed was a sole fork. The truck is mainly used for towing and transporting goods. We towed our fifth bike twice from the west coast to Canada, four times to Montana and Wyoming, twice to Minnesota and all the way to Niagara Falls. The steering became very bad. Replaced steering gear, added Big D Off Road, LLC steering stabilizer and a new inner tie rod. So I decided it was time to replace what I believe to be the original steering damper. With all these changes, my truck handles much better, but I don't know if the Bilstein steering damper is to blame.
