This shoe is quite comfortable to wear; it's light on the foot and is well ventilated to keep feet from getting too hot. I'd give it a five-star rating if I wore the shoe only for casual walking. However, after walking only about 50 miles on city sidewalks, I see that much of the tread on the sole and heel of the shoe is gone.There is not much cushioning while walking, and the sole conforms to about every irregularity on the paths. It's not very comfortable to wear on trails, where stones and roots are part of the paths. It is, however, quite comfortable for brief walks.I rate this shoe a good buy when measuring cost against looks and comfort, but for serious walking (either on trails or on long walks on concrete or asphalt) I would suggest looking for a show with a thicker sole.
