According to my email exchange with ATEQ customer service the VT36 from ATEQ comes in more than one version. is not designed to "program" TPMS sensors, just enable them. You can't update the software for it either. In the description of this device and in the description of the VT36 on the ATEQ website in general, it is referred to as an activation sensor / TPMS programming tool. I think it depends on the software installed by ATEQ. So I have a set of new blank Schrader TPMS sensors that I want to clone into my OEM sensors and this VT36 box can't program them. Why create several different units under one VT36 model number that perform different tasks and advertise them as the same? Buyers be careful. False advertising, bad product design.
