That suits my generation. perfect, but I think it was directed upwards and inwards. I cut this thick tube at a slight angle near the flange, rotated the tube at that angle, welded the tube and covered it with the old head paint as shown. The bonus is that my LP reg. for storage hidden bearings (green bag), protected by an exhaust pipe. Waiting for magnetic D/S before launch. From what I've read and seen adjusting this muffler, if it's half as quiet as it is solid, the difference should be noticeable. NOTE: This bracket is rigid, so the muffler end also "only" needs to be bolted to the engine, which sits on rubber mounts.
