Review on Continental SportContact 6 285/40 R20 104Y summer by Adam Wojtczuk ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

I paid 295/40/20 on this rubber when I purchased it on Q7. Driving around the city didn't bother me for the first few days; only the rutting started to feel more (unpleasant), but it doesn't matter. Trouble started after I left town. Upon reaching 120 km/h, a powerful thumping started. Amazing! The wheels (in the RLD when I examined after the board was polished) are great! Nothing else could be done but continue moving forward; at a speed of 160, the heartbeat was slightly slower. I asked my wife to locate a regular tire business in Stupino as we were travelling because I had written a positive evaluation of them. We are here. They twisted the left rear wheel, which contained just 10 gr., and the left front wheel, which had 20 gr. Starting on the right side, the most intriguing thing happened. Each one has 50 grams, but this is nonsense. I admit that the prior installation's equipment was subpar (by the way, they are Continental partners). The rubber is uneven and jumps, which is the most annoying aspect. Therefore, the pounding. Even more, the installer disassembled two wheels, oiled the sides, and appropriately rocked them. All four of them, he claimed, were crooked, but two in particular. Overall, he did all he could, for which we owe him a great debt of gratitude. I looked it up on the track, and the thumping began at 180. Because they didn't charge three, the sediment persisted and was quite huge. Comfort is only average. By the way, I used to travel to Kontik on a BMW e90 and an RX330, and there were never any issues—only good feelings—so I trusted. I won't use it once more!

Pros
  • Brand
Cons
  • Because of the extremely low tread height, it is difficult to predict how long the tires will endure. I estimate thousands of kilometers.
