If you're looking at long term trend lines this tool can help give an indication if your department/area has been under or above average compared to other departments like yours but don't rely solely upon these graphs when making decisions because they are not always accurate! Data collection was quite slow so it took a while before everything would show up properly. Also be aware there may also be issues logging into some areas (i'm sure thats just something i faced) where certain crimes might have caused problems such as login errors etc. We were trying to find out what our stats looked like during times we weren't collecting data ourselves which meant comparing ours against another agency who did collect their own statistics via manually counting cases.
