Review on πŸ›οΈ BedRug Tailgate Mat BMQ15TG: Perfectly Designed for 15+ F-150 Trucks by Chris Lapan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a strip of carpet.

Nothing to talk about here - it's basically a piece of industrial carpet. I bought my 2015 F-150 without bedding and got an OEM Ford rubber floor mat instead (which I really like). But I needed something to cover the tailgate to avoid scratches when sliding in and out, and also protection for my knees when kneeling on the tailgate. The fit was perfect. Installation is easy with industrial grade adhesive backed hook and loop fasteners. They provide an adhesive that you can use to stick it to the resin or spray it on the liner, but you don't need it if you're sticking it directly to the painted surface. It definitely does the job, but at $52 I expected more. Pad. There's a very thin layer of padding under the carpet, which makes it better than kneeling on metal - an exposed tailgate, but not much better. For a strip of carpet I expected to pay about half what I paid. Had I had more time I would have been more diligent in buying other alternatives, but I didn't see many other options available. The bottom line is that it works, I just don't feel like I got a very good price over $50. The main complaint is the almost complete lack of fillers.

Pros
  • 100% Polypropylene - Heavy Duty Countertop
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
