Review on 🍲 Sistema Red Microwave Soup Mug - Convenient 22.1 Oz Container by Chris Long

ok I picked this up while shopping the other day (so different colour; it's the same brand and I had to check the bottom to make sure they were the same size as this one product), based on all the great reviews, this would be the perfect item for packing lunch for work. Except. it's not like this. Far from it. In terms of packaging, it was great! All those questions people ask about how airtight it is wasn't a problem, I poured in a whole can of chicken soup, sealed the vent and lid and stuffed it in my fridge. It never leaked. On the other hand, warming up the soup. Well, I opened the vent and put the thing in the microwave and as the soup heated evenly it exploded inside the mug. The underside of the lid is heavily pitted, and you can see the top of the mug itself which is pitted; Oddly enough, this is the hole ABOVE the soup, not where the cup was actually filled with soup. I think I'll have to go back to paper towels on the open bowl until the old bowls are disposed of. FYI, the soup wasn't that greasy, it was just chicken broth; I've had worse things in old bowls and they take a lot longer to pit that many. I bought these thinking something made specifically for microwave soups might last LONGER.
