Cygolite Metro 850 300m to 10m

Cygolite Metro 850 300m to 10m This is the first video I've uploaded to Revain. good enough to bump it up to 5. The instructions don't seem to match the actual operation, but I like the actual operation. Turns on minimally. I can then cycle through low-mid-high-mid with triple flash-day-flash. The other mode is walking mode and is easy to select. I know some people have said they'd like to turn it on the way it was off. I see it. I use it mostly during the day and would appreciate it if I didn't have to switch to the last mode ;-) The video shows me driving on a country road in the shade and in the sun at noon. You can see that I can be clearly seen at a distance of 300 m. The light is actually brighter than it appears in the video. My light is directed slightly downwards. Night road mode, triple flash, works great. The flashing doesn't distract me while driving and the medical light suits my driving. I also use smaller strobe lights at night (small Blackburn). Off-road (I live in the country) low settings are fine, although I tend to HI for rough trails. Med is good for 50m and hi for 100m, both without much detail at the very edge. Basically I just want to see and be seen and not meet any bears ;-) The running light is pretty weak, but at walking pace I appreciate it. I don't like carrying around a flashlight that's so bright it affects my night vision after dark. I often prefer to run at red lights at night. I think they are happy to see it. Oddly enough, I was also flagged down by a police officer on an oncoming motorbike, so I think I got noticed again. Maybe everyone here is so friendly ;-) The USB charging port seems to be ok. I ride over bumps a lot and for hundreds of miles the port side cover hasn't come loose. Why 4.5? Well, the instructions don't match. Start confusion. The clip is fairly easy to remove, making it a target for thieves. But I can also easily remove it if that worries me. It is difficult to remove from the mount because it is sticky. I don't think I've ever used a latch because it's difficult to install (slide all the way back). GR. It never went off even if the latch wasn't engaged. For me it's a solid voice. I like the technology and the way it is implemented. The question of durability remains. It's too early to tell.
