As an aspiring miniature painter I did a lot of research on acrylics to get started. There were two companies to choose from and I chose Vallejo because of the great color scheme. This color can be applied smoothly after applying the primer. The best thing about them is the drop-pressed bottle. Although the bottles are 17ml. in quantity a little color goes a long way. and can and should be easily diluted with a little water. It should be noted that these "metallic paints" actually contain metallic flakes. So when applying, make sure you have an extra cup of water to clean your brushes. Otherwise you'll leave metallic flakes in the colors you use and don't want a metallic sheen. Also, I noticed that during shipping they expanded under the pressure of elevation changes.
