To be honest this is one of the most stable consumer electronics I have ever owned. Easy setup, easy access to web admin page. A reset is only required due to external Comcast signal quality issues etc. More than 2.5 years of stable operation. The only problem (as mentioned by others and in the title here) is that it doesn't support ANY close to 1.4 Gbps on Comcast. I've had a steady drop of 720Mbps on a 600Mbps plan (with Comcast's typical 20% overhead), but when they upgraded to 800Mbps last week it got even worse. This was already a known issue for me when I briefly "fiddled around" with their gigabit plan (just to get more download speeds) and it was unstable and slow. So, I'm guessing somewhere less than 800, but maybe over 600 Mbps is their max sweet spot. Order Docsis 3.1 (also from Netgear). I'm hoping to get the full 960 (800 + 20%) on the current plan and can (again) upgrade to gigabit for an additional $5/month to get 35 instead of 15 (uplink speed boost definitely helps with my VPN experience). I hope this review will help a little. Hit me up if you have any questions.
