Review on 🎢 Nobsound Little Bear T11: High-Fidelity Vacuum Tube Phono Turntable Preamplifier for LP Vinyl Records by Selena Ananth

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not definitive but really respectable

It's not the definitive tube phono stage but for the price it offers very respectable performance. I bought this thing for the second system. My main setup is very high end, but I like to tinker with the budget approach with my second system. I first replaced three factory 12ax7s with a couple of JJ ECC803/12ax7s and didn't have the hum issues that some had. In fact, it's very quiet for lamps, which was a pleasant surprise. Great tonal balance with lots of body. High frequencies are flat while low frequencies are weighty, though they may lack maximum extension at either end. The soundstage is deep and way better than my solid state preamp. Where this pre shines is in the middle. The voices and strings are detailed and beautifully presented. So for just over $200 the T11 is on par with other phono stages I've listened to but less than half the price. LB works with ProJect Classic turntables with MM Ortofon Silver cartridges. The rest of this system is a Meridian 541 preamp and a Nobis Cantabile hybrid tube amp rated at 35 watts per channel.
