I bought this to see what's in the big shade in my garden and not to scare away wild animals. I'm somewhat familiar with night vision from having served in the army and was aware of some of the possibilities. I liked that it has a full color screen when used during the day (and uses a lens cap for daylight!). I also like that you can connect to a TV or computer so others can watch at the same time. The ability to record videos or photos is ideal for capturing various wild animals or intruding neighbors and using them in court. This monocular is very good value for money. Military grade prices can be prohibitive. I didn't want something like that and when I saw the price, it was worth it. Night vision is very competitive with military grade items. The monocular is very light. It's easy to hold, or if you use a tripod or clip to hold it on the car window mount.
