What does 1 inch mean? Fits bulkhead fittings
Comes with a standard 1" PVC pipe slip. In other words, you glue a 1 inch PVC pipe inside. This has an outside diameter of 1.3 inches (a 1 inch PVC pipe has an inside diameter of 1 inch). So PVC pipe is fine when using PVC cement. However, this works great for what it was designed for.
