Great Quality Fitting for Plumbing Needs

This fitting is perfect for plumbing setups as it provides a secure and leak-proof connection. Industrial and scientific standards are met with the durable material used in production. Through trial and error, I found that it can take a bit of effort to install and remove, but this ultimately ensures the fitting stays firmly in place. Overall, I highly recommend this product for any plumbing needs.

Pros
  • Durable material, secure connection
Cons
  • Can be difficult to install/remove.

What does 1 inch mean? Fits bulkhead fittings

Comes with a standard 1" PVC pipe slip. In other words, you glue a 1 inch PVC pipe inside. This has an outside diameter of 1.3 inches (a 1 inch PVC pipe has an inside diameter of 1 inch). So PVC pipe is fine when using PVC cement. However, this works great for what it was designed for.

Pros
  • Suggested hole size: 1 3/4"
Cons
  • Available in black only

low quality for bulkhead fittings

Serrated edges and slot in locknut. I think I could do it if I sanded the nut 2-4mm and sanded all the edges. But again, there's no guarantee I'm doing this accurately enough to ensure even pressure on the gasket. From what I've learned, if you're working with water and don't want it to leak, you need to make sure everything fits within the tightest of tolerances. I wouldn't trust that part.

Pros
  • All kits include: bulkhead fitting, gasket, locknut
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other picks
