This is a pretty little dish that you can safely pop in the microwave. I've found that at this altitude I have to use 3 cups of water for rice because it's dry and brown rice cakes are 45 minutes like stovetop, but I'm not worried about anything burning or overcooking. It's easy to keep clean, simple to use, and enjoyable without worrying about the rice not being cooked properly. I throw away some veggies in the last 5-10 minutes of cooking.
