Tried to improve webcam placement on a specially configured table; The main monitor is sunken down and tilted up. (Better ergonomics.) Ordinary mounts like Luxo lamps won't fit - not flexible enough or unstable if pulled out too far. This mount is MUCH better designed and built. Reliable hinged closures with anti-twist devices at drum/chamber level. The hex insert in the table clamp makes the hinge MUCH stronger. My only suggestion - not a complaint - would be to include a diagram of how the parts fit together. It's not that hard to figure out, but for the impatient, it might help. Outstanding hardware.
