There is no doubt that the finished product is absolutely beautiful. I bought it to "get acquainted" with ribbon embroidery. Thanks to many decades of silk embroidery I was able to figure out how to do the stitches, but if I had to rely on the instructions provided I would be lost at sea. There is definitely a language gap. Aside from that, the kit had everything you could possibly need to start working on a project, including an embroidery hoop and a small pair of scissors! I chose a wooden frame instead of a frame as the frame wasn't big enough to hold all of the embroidery. However, it is a good tire and I will use it for other projects. I am 71 years old and have been embroidering since I was six. At the moment I have osteoarthritis in all joints. This made it very difficult for me to thread the ribbon through the background fabric. I have found that I have to use multiple objects to thread the ribbon through the fabric. First a turkey string to make a small hole and then a kebab stick to widen that hole. I ended up using an upholstery needle, not the sturdy embroidery needle that comes with the kit (some of which broke). But even with the enlarged hole, it was difficult to get the tape through, so I used needle nose pliers for this part of the job. For the large rose I made the center of the rose and then sewed it in place and did the same with the petals. The tape was just too wide and it hurt to thread it through. I have included my finished design which as you will see is different from what was printed on the kit fabric (I added a few colors to fill the empty space and also changed the color of the red rosebud .The rest of the colors, the tools I used were also in a photo.
