Update: After two weeks it stopped working. I will try another brand. hope you have better luck The 3.5 headphone jack on my laptop was part of the motherboard along with all the other ports. The cost of fixing my bent, busted, broken (who knows?) headphone jack was to buy another motherboard. 170 dollars. They knew of an element that replaced the digital wave for audiophiles to listen to music with improved performance in their expensive headphones. The cost is $100. It came today. I plugged it into the USB port, plugged in external speakers, and without even doing anything on the screen, they worked! $7.70 delivered in 2 days. Buy it. This is a quick and expensive solution to the problem of no sound or only getting one of the two stereo sides of an audio track. 10 stars
