Yes its expensive but worth it. I actually have two, one for mountain biking and one for road biking. Like many reviewers, I tried several saddles in different price ranges. Nobody solved my tailbone pain problem. With saddle saddles, the load is on your sit bones, so that the tailbone "floats" for lack of a better description and is therefore not affected when riding. My only recommendation is to measure your sit bones (there is a way to do this yourself at home, which I did, just google "measure sit bones") and purchase the saddle model that suits you best. It takes three or four rides to get used to this type of saddle, but once I did I knew I would never ride anything else again.
