Review on ๐Ÿด Optimized Steel Cutlery: Winco Acero by Bethany Ray

I am very happy with this knife

Not from Revain but from a large online auction but exactly the same product. Wow I couldn't be happier with this knife. As a working chef who also cooks at home, I wanted a smaller chef's knife that I could pair with the 8" and 10" knives I use every day. To be honest, I was motivated to do this when I saw how famous TV chefs like Jacques Pepin often used smaller knives than many of us use most of the time. Wรผsthoff, Calphalon, various professional/commercial brands etc and this Winco is as damn good as any and better than many. There are two things that set it apart from its closest competitors: Winco doesn't use any cheeky gimmicks (no weird styling that compromises functionality, no weird knobs, nothing that's an unfortunate attempt to be "innovative") and a Price, that's really incredible. This is a quality knife, made from high quality steel that can be sharpened to a razor-like blade and will retain that sharpness. The handle is simple and convenient. The factory sharpening and polishing doesn't compare to a $200 Wusthoff or hobby knife, but you can't beat it for anything under $20 or even $50. A 6 inch knife is perfect for most home kitchens and also less intimidating for people (like my mom) who are not used to using large knives. This makes it the ideal all-purpose kitchen knife for most people. And because of the quality and price of this knife I will definitely turn to WInco in the future when I need to buy other knives and I have already recommended them to professional chefs. Sometimes it pays to poke around and ignore brand names and this is one of those cases. .
