I didn't expect much from this pineapple corer. My first impression upon unboxing it was that it appeared to be of poor quality. It lacks a professional finish and feels light and harsh. But that doesn't necessarily impact performance, of course, and the performance of this device is very, very good. It easily slices through the pineapple's tough skin and slides easily through the flesh to form perfect pineapple rings. The package also includes an apple slicer so you can cut the rings into pieces. I'm not too keen on the food slicer as it's plastic and not as durable as my metal food slicer. However, it serves its purpose. Both planer and core are easy to clean and maintain. I'm pretty sure they're both dishwasher safe, but I hand wash. I feel like this device can be a little wasteful leaving some fruit on the sides of the pineapple bowl, but it's also great that you can use this empty bowl for fancy beach drinks! Overall I am very happy with this pineapple corer, especially for the price. It's definitely worth buying a whole pineapple instead of spending stupid money on pre-sliced fruit.
