Brass post slot. It's quite small, strong, but with caution.

These little things aren't big enough for a stack of magazines. If you're replacing an old device, make sure the platen on the new device is large enough, otherwise you may have to improvise by making your own. Solid brass, but not quite like it used to be. Although good enough.
