First I returned the unit because it was attached to the handlebars that way. I have a weird gooseneck bulge that caused problems and didn't provide the secure attachment I wanted and it almost messed up my bike computer (obsolete technology if you're using your phone). I bought it for my mountain bike so I wouldn't get lost on unfamiliar trails. In general, this is the ideal mount for most applications. The way the phone is "clamped" is very secure. The angle adjustment is great! I would recommend this for most uses, but again it wasn't ideal for my unique situation. My other observations The dial to adjust the width isn't the easiest to use and adjustment is slow. Once you set it up for your phone, you'll never have to mess with it again, so it's not a problem. They offer 3 rubber pads for different handlebar strengths. It's really the only way to do it these days, but it wasn't the easiest. Do I need 2 or 3? I have it on my handlebars but I need 3, I can't easily attach it so I have to take it off and try again. However, once you understand this, there is no need to mess around with it anymore. I like it and would recommend it, but I had to use a different mount method.
