Step Down Linear DC Current Converter LM317 DIY Power Supply Module 5 Pack - They are well packaged in static packs. Small and "cute". (Reference: ST mark on LM device) - if PWD or SMPS are not suitable. Linear's classic LM317 three-pin LDO voltage regulator will do the trick. This gives more warmth. So be prepared to improvise and add some decent heat dissipation. Because the tiny heatsink that comes with the kit may not be enough. They get "very hot" when the current drawn is > 1 amp (even at 500mA), but that's typical for 3-pin regulators. ***** My only concern is that no protection diode was used between input and output. The board has a 47 uF smoothing capacitor (per output). A good idea would be to add a 1n4002 diode or similar - cathode to input - anode to output. Please note this for very sudden and unexpected short circuits that MAY (or may not) occur at the output. ***** Otherwise super "cool" :) - I would order again without hesitation. Just add your own 1 amp diode. I'll try to update it as I keep testing. But I don't expect any problems (fingers crossed) Peace
