I have purchased Bernat Blanket yarn before and I really like it. I wanted to try another type of their bulky yarn and it is a bulkier yarn than this one. It's soft I'd say, but it's terrible. The amount of hair and shedding in this yarn is the main reason I am tempted not to finish my quilt and donate the entire batch. I have 4 skeins left and this blanket cost 6 skeins and that's the worst. Everything is covered in this fluffy pile. It gets in our eyes and in our mouth. It covers any nearby surface with a fluff of fine fibers. I started knitting outdoors so the giant quilts and dusty clumps of plain knitwear could be blown away by the wind. I can't imagine using it as a blanket for everyday use because it gets more and more tangled as I knit, making the underside look fuzzy and rough. If you made a scarf out of it, your clothes would be covered with worse fluff than if you had 7 cats and the fluff never twisted your clothes. I bought this yarn in three different colors and they all shed like a golden retriever in spring. Not. Obtain. This. Yarn.
