Don't waste your money. I love poached eggs and am a classically trained chef who usually boils poached eggs in a saucepan with some vinegar, shaking the water and carefully placing the raw egg in the water. One after the other. I wanted something that would make life easier and hopefully easier to make poached eggs. This product is NOT the answer. Don't waste money. I cleaned them before using. Dry them out completely. Then I lightly brushed the entire inside of the cup with olive oil. Thin layer. The right water and vinegar selected, the eggs carefully lowered - and knowing this when you buy them - because of their size if you're hoping to cook more than one egg at a time? They need a very large pot with a very wide opening so they fit snugly and lie properly and evenly in the pot. When were the eggs boiled? It is very difficult to remove from the cup even after cleaning, drying and lubricating the cups. It is very difficult to remove the eggs. And clean up afterwards? Forget it! Terrible! You don't have to spend so much time and labor to clean them. Terrible design. Terrible product. Don't waste money. I'll be making poached eggs again like I did at one of America's top cooking schools. live and learn
