Perfect for summer while protecting your toes

I've never tried Shimano's famous SPD peep toe sandals (which are back in 2020). I just never liked the whole toe thing, too many toe bumps in tewas. Of course, this is mostly hiking or playing in the water. And my MTB use usually got me running over some rough rock patches and the lack of leg protection seemed unreasonable. They were also expensive (especially with newer versions). But now I ride CBM mainly in the south and when I saw Exustar shoes with all the essential toe caps half price like new in the stock section of the deals I thought why don't you try them. Exustar makes good shoes, had a pair of MTBs a few years ago. In terms of construction, they feel solid and the toe box is covered in a rubber-like material that gives piglets ample protection. Without cooling, but for me a worthy compromise. The straps are easily adjustable: three straps at the top of the foot and one at the back of the ankle. Arch support could probably be increased a bit, but that's a personal matter. It took me a while to get used to the bow, but not that painful. They are definitely cooler to ride than my regular Shimano touring shoes and they are quite wide. Another personal point, but they're a bit broad. The soles are a bit more flexible than I expected. Not exaggerated, but noticeable. Driving in the rain is also much easier now. I recommend.
