All-purpose paper at a great price

Canson mixed media paper works great for crayons, colored pencils, markers and charcoal. I haven't tried acrylic or watercolor so I can't comment on how well they work. However, be careful with marker show-through, especially when using markers. Just remember to put a sheet of paper under the page you're drawing on so the markers don't spill over onto the next sheet. I could even run sheets through my large format inkjet printer. It has just the right number of teeth, weight and thickness. It is capable of creating smooth lines and large, even areas of color or shade. My Prismacolor colored pencils draw on it like oil. Canson paper is competitively priced and offers exceptional value compared to other paper brands such as Beinfang or the more expensive Strathmore. I love that it is perforated which gives you life size paper. It's nice to be able to tear the paper at the perforation instead of tearing it from the wire binding leaving a torn edge.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No productivity
