We took one of these on a trip where there was a pool. My 2 year old can swim in the water on his own and stay afloat. First I brought our super awesome life jacket but he kept putting it on her back like one would in an emergency. It wasn't what I wanted in the pool. I love that it is PFD approved. They also have shoulders so kids don't take them off on their own, which is what we need with a toddler who seems to be putting on and taking off whatever they're wearing. She goes to the family pool almost every week and it happens to her all the time. Highly recommended!
